Commercial Polytunnels

Haygrove tunnels are a field-scale solution to covering crops, which are semi-permanent and follow the natural contours of the ground. They can be built to any length and there are options for single bay or multibay tunnels.

Pioneer Series

The Pioneer Series tunnels provide a better managed growing environment which delivers increased yield and quality of crops whilst protecting the crop from wind and rain.

It also provides a better growing environment for your crop.

  • Most berry crops (strawberries, raspberries and blueberries)
  • Salads and vegetable
  • High value flowers, ornamentals and nursery stock

Solo Series

The Solo Series range is ideal for all-year round protection. It enables crops to be over-wintered and forces earliness. The structure minimises frost risks and it protects crops from wind damage.

The Solo 40 tunnel has a 0.5m (1.64 feet) vertical side and is designed to create a smaller air volume to force crops as early as possible.

The Super Solo 40 tunnel has a 1.2m (3.94 feet) vertical side and has the air volume of a multibay tunnel.

The Gothic Solo 40 tunnel has a 1.2m (3.94 feet) vertical side and can be used to extend the growing season. The hoop shape allows snow to fall off in cooler climates.

The Solo 50 tunnel has a 0.85m (2.79 feet) vertical side and is made with 50.8mm (2 inches) XS steel. The hoop profile and design is perfect for wind and snow loading, as any stress is distributed evenly across the hoop.

  • Key Features
  • Individual bay
  • Single or double prong anchors
  • Vertical side height from 0.5m (1.64 feet) to 1.2m (3.94 feet), depending on the Solo range
  • Up to 2.2m (7.22 feet) leg spacing
  • Build 40mm (1.575 inches) tunnels from 6m (19.69 feet) to 8.5m (27.89 feet) wide
  • Build 50mm (1.968 inches) tunnels from 8m (26.25 feet) to 9m (29.53 feet) wide with a one-piece hoop
  • Hoop can be round or gothic shape
  • Crops can be trellised off the structure
  • Tunnels can be upgraded with doors, roller venting and gable vent
  • Product Benefits
  • Fully sealed for earliness
  • Increased yield
  • Wind and snow strength
  • Improved heating of tunnels in spring as the polythene is sealed to the ground
  • Protection from weather and pests
  • Ideally Suited For
  • Cooler climates
  • Early strawberries and asparagus
  • Crops grown in substrate
  • Over wintering crops
  • Trellis crops, such as tomatoes and peppers
  • Nursery and ornamental stock

Greenhouse Series

The Greenhouse Series is ideal for creating large air volume, due to the extra vertical height on the hoop. The Greenhouse Series is available in 40mm (1.575 inches) or 50mm (1.968 inches), depending on the strength required.

This type of tunnel is perfect for tree or cane crops, which require a higher structure. It also creates a rain-free environment and can force crops to come earlier than traditional tree-covering systems.

  • Key Features
  • Multibay
  • 1.5m (4.92 feet), 2m (6.56 feet), 2.5m (8.2 feet) or 3m (9.84 feet) legs
  • Up to 3m (9.84 feet) leg spacing, depending on weather conditions
  • Build from 6m (19.69 feet) to 9m (29.53 feet) wide
  • Tunnels can be upgraded with doors, gutters and side skirts
  • Water drops vertically, avoiding splash on outside bed
  • Product Benefits
  • Ideal for tree crops
  • Large air volume
  • Climate control
  • Protection from weather and pests
  • Increased yield
  • Ideally Suited For
  • Warm climates where large air volume, rain collection and full ventilation are critical
  • Cane crops, such as raspberries, blackberries, etc.
  • Tree crops, such as cherries, peaches, plums, etc.

Trellis Series

The Trellis Series offers similar technology to a glasshouse, but is a more cost effective structure. This structure is perfect for trellising crops, which require more space to grow and a large air volume.

  • Key Features
  • Multibay
  • 2.25m (7.38 feet), 2.75m (9.02 feet) or 3m (9.84 feet) to the gutter
  • Up to 2.5m (8.2 feet) leg spacing
  • Build from 5.5m (18.04 feet) to 9m (29.53 feet) wide
  • Especially designed end kit for trellis series
  • Cabling across tunnel and anchored into the ground
  • Strong enough to trellis crops
  • Tunnels can be upgraded with doors, gutters, side skirts and roller venting
  • Product Benefits
  • Glasshouse technology into field-scale tunnel structures
  • Good all year round cover
  • Increased wind strength due to cabling at gutter height
  • Protection from weather and pests
  • Increased yield
  • Ideally Suited For
  • Tropical climates
  • Trellis crops, such as tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers
  • High value crops or nursery stock

Telescopic Series

The Telescopic Series, which has an exclusive patent design, aims to extend and manipulate the growing season. The Telescopic Series is available in 40mm (1.575 inches) or 50mm (1.968 inches), depending on the strength required.

When the tunnels are lowered, the warmer environment forces the crop to come earlier. When the tunnels are lifted, there is better air volume and ventilation for fully grown crops.

  • Key Features
  • 1.5m (4.92 feet), 2m (6.56 feet) or 2.5m (8.2 feet) legs
  • Up to 2.2m (7.22 feet) leg spacing

  • Water drops vertically, avoiding splash on outside beds
  • Tunnels can be upgraded with doors and side skirts
  • Product Benefits
  • Reduced air volume when tunnels are lowered for sealing and earliness
  • Increased air volume when tunnels are lifted for summer production
  • Crops can come 10 to 14 days early
  • Offers the benefits of an individual bay and multi-bay structure
  • Protection from weather and pests
  • Increased yield
  • Ideally Suited For
  • Cooler climates with warm summers
  • Double cropped substrate grown crops
